More HIV ‘functionally cured’
— first a baby, now 14 adults

Earlier this month, doctors announced that a baby had been cured of an HIV infection. Now, using a similar technique, it appears that 14 adults have also been successfully treated for the disease. Apparently the trick is to tackle the infection early. 

"The 14 adults still have traces of HIV in their blood, but at such low levels that their body can naturally keep it in check without drugs."
